Lukas Cabala: Trenčín, as big as New York

Lukáš Cabala is a novelist; he made his debut with the intimate novella Satori v Trenčín (Satori in Trenčín). In 2025, he published two books, Leto postávalo v horúcom vzduchu (The Summer Was Standing in the Hot Air, Artforum) and a children’s book Život v Malinových horách (Life in the Raspberry Mountains, Slovart). Lukáš Cabala was nominated for the 2025 European Union Prize for Literature for his book Spomenieš si na Trenčín? (Will You Remember Trenčín?).
